| Our hearts go out to those affected by Hurricane Katrina and like the rest of the world we are shocked at the human toll.

collection box and a $500 will be donated to IAHV, an international NGO non-profit organization. Please visit www.iahv.org for more information.

St. Anne's place is a shelter for 16 homeless women and their children. They provide support to women in crisis. We learned that they are looking for donations to meet the school supplies needs for the children living in the shelter. We spoke to Julia, development coordinator of St.Annes's place,. Julia appreciated our interest and welcomed any support that we could provide to this school year needs. They are looking for school supplies for 16 children. The school supplies list includes crayons, markers, colored pencils, notebooks, folders, daily planners, calculators, socks and shoes. We can provide whatever is possible and there is no minimum numbers here. The interested devotees can purchase an extra item or two when they are out shopping and drop off their contributions in the drop box
(drop box has been provided) at prayer center no later than Sept 5th, 2005 8 PM. The volunteers will collect all the items and donate to children on Sept 7th, 2005 on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi.
